Revenue Collections Overview

The Revenue Collections module provides a single cash receipting system for multiple sources of revenue, such as utility bills, licensing, permits, accounts receivables and miscellaneous receipts. It can also integrate to third-party systems including property tax programs. The system will track the collections by payment code, cashier, and collection station.

Payment codes are used in Revenue Collections on receipts to differentiate the location from which revenues are collected, and are used to link payments to general ledger accounts. Revenue Collections supports quantity-based payment codes for both single and step-rate types of effective-dated charges. Payment codes can also support multi-tiered general ledger distributions for the charges collected.

New World ERP allows for multiple collection stations throughout your municipality to be linked together via a common management workflow. This application automates daily processes, such as writing cash receipts to daily transaction files, as well as updating the General Ledger, transaction and project files.
